F O O D SP Y R A M I D

I'm presenting two styles of pyramids that are very different from each other. You can decide which one you want to follow. The first set is by Udo Erasmus. The second set is the USA recommended food pyramid. These pyramids illustrate general dietary principles; they are educational in nature; individuals should consult with health care professionals before making dietary changes.

Udo's Oil Blend is derived from organic flax seeds. I strongly promote Shaklee's Omega Guard. It delivers all seven of ultra-pure, pharmaceutical-grade omega-3 fatty acids to support healthy heart, joint and brain function. It is made with a proprietary multistep molecular distillation process for the utmost purity and potency of omega-3 fatty acids, including EPA and DHA.

Udo Erasmus: Food Pyramid Recommendations

Udo's 3 Diet Pyramids are for consideration for adults who fall into one of the three following catagories: ACTIVE PEOPLE (people such as professional athletes, construction laborers and fitness buffs who burn more calories in physical activity than average); HEALTHY PEOPLE (people who are near normal weight who have no major health problems); and SICK PEOPLE (people who suffer from chronic degenerative diseases).

USA: Food Pyramid Recommendation

The Healthy Eating Pyramid sits on a foundation of daily exercise and weight control. Why? These two related elements strongly influence your chances of staying healthy. They also affect what you eat and how your food affects you.

Exercise and weight control are also linked through the simple rule of energy balance: Weight change = calories in – calories out. If you burn as many calories as you take in each day, there's nothing left over for storage in fat cells, and weight remains the same. Eat more than you burn, though, and you end up adding fat and pounds. Regular exercise can help you control your weight, and it is key part of any weight-loss effort.
